What sliders change on the page

Time on page rises because the interaction has no natural end point; people sweep back and forth several times. Attention concentrates on the exact area under the handle, which is ideal for detail-heavy work such as retouching, dental cosmetics, paint correction and UI redesigns. The interaction is also self-explanatory, so it works without instructions on desktop and touch screens.

Where they work best

Portfolio case studies, product pages that sell an improvement, landing pages for services, and blog posts that explain a process. They are less effective in a dense gallery grid where thumbnails are small; there, a static side by side loads faster and reads instantly.

Adding one without a plugin

Plugins add scripts, updates and often a subscription. A self-contained snippet is lighter: a few lines of HTML, CSS and JavaScript with your two images. Our embed tool generates exactly that. Preparing the images

Both images must share the same dimensions and framing, or the slider will reveal misalignment instead of change. Export them at the same width, ideally 1600 pixels or less, and compress them as JPEG or WebP so the page stays fast.
